FUN and FOOD

On Friday July 2nd Rooms 3 and 4 are hosting a hangi (a note should have come home last Thursday) to celebrate the end of our identity unit, bring the community together and raise money for class laptops.

As part of this day we would like to invite parents and grandparents to come along at 10:30/11 am to play and teach old fashioned games and activities with the children.

Such as: Marbles, knucklebones, cards, knitting, croquet, horse shoes, string games, board games and draughts. (Or any others you can think of)

At 12pm we are going to hold some fun races, sack, egg and spoon and three legged races for the children and adults(if they wish)  Then as a finale to the activities there will be a tug o war competition for the adults. So get a team together and be crowned “Pokuru School Tug O War CHAMPIONS!!!!

At 1pm the hangi will be raised and served. Yum! Your hangi meal will need to be preordered and paid for so fill in the form attached and send it back as soon as possible. This way we will know how much food we will need.

Thank you

Dianne Shariff, Sheree Harvey and Vicki Robinson
